When attribution is disabled, the application does not store CTA clicks, use advertising pixels or set analytics cookies. In record-only mode, /go/vpn stores a random click_id, locale, a source channel hint, time and, when present, an internal guide ID, but does not send the click_id to the Telegram bot. In telegram-start mode, the same data is stored and only the click_id is sent to the Telegram bot.
The SEO site does not store an IP address, User-Agent, search query or Telegram ID in a click record. For rate limiting, an IP address may be used briefly only in process memory as a one-way key and is not logged by the application.
Hosting and security infrastructure may still process IP addresses and technical logs temporarily for delivery and protection. Actual retention, processors and user rights must be documented before production.
